About DsignM Illustrations

DsignM Illustrations is an illustration and graphic design studio founded in 2015 by Denise Matos. Since childhood, it quickly became apparent that being creative was in her blood. So she decided early on that she wanted to use her love for illustration and graphic design to conquer the world with her skills.

Denise started her studies at art academy AKV St. Joost in Breda in 2014, where she specialized in Illustration & Animation. During her studies, she and others won an award for designing a 360° Virtual Reality experience for Waterschap Brabantse Delta. She interned at Imagic Concepts, where she further developed her skills in merchandise, theming for theme parks, character design and logo design. In 2018, she graduated as an full fledged illustrator.

Today, Denise is head illustrator at DsignM, where she handles everything from character design to realistic portraits, and from graphic design to graphic design work. Her versatility allows her to create both digital as analog art.

Although her journey has not always been easy, Denise views her experiences as valuable learning moments. Her passion is helping people and making their faces light up with the designs she put out. Like a chameleon, she adapts to any assignment, no challenge is too big for her!

Vision

DsignM brings stories to life with expressive illustrations, full of color and creativity. Each image has a deeper layer and makes an article or story even more powerful - sometimes it even tells a story in itself.

She wants to make the world more colorful one step at a time. In a time full of negativity, she chooses joy and inspiration. If her illustrations, portraits or graphic work makes someone happy, her mission is accomplished!

WORK PROCES DSIGNM ILLUSTRATIONS

1 | BRIEFING

In a casual meeting we will discuss your needs and brainstorm the image, message, target audience, color and form. At the end of the meeting, I will set up a summary (debrief) of the conversation and then present it to you.

2 | OFFER

When I have a clear idea of your wishes and ideas, I will make an offer without any obligation. I will make an estimate of the required hours and base my price on that. It sometimes happens that during the design process your wishes change and it doesn't fit with my calculated hours. In that case you will receive an extra work note. This way we both know in advance where we stand.

3 | DESIGN

Your wishes and ideas will be developed into an initial first concept. Together with your input, this concept will be perfected in a number of stages and updated where necessary.

After a number of feedback moments, the concept will be developed into the final design stage. At the end of the design process I will make the design print-ready and it can be sent to the printer (if needed).

4 | APPROVAL AND INVOICE

After approval of the final design, you will receive the invoice. After payment of the invoice (within 14 days), you will receive the final design, in the correct resolution and technical requirements for the printing company, and sent online via Wetransfer.
